Lafayette Could Land Hundreds of Jobs With Toyota Deal

Lafayette Mayor Tony Roswarski tells Inside INdiana Business that a potential deal with Toyota Motor Corp. to build vehicles at the Subaru of Indiana Automotive Inc. plant could bring 800 to 1,000 full-time, permanent jobs to the facility.

He says the move may also include up to 400 part-time positions. Roswarski says other collateral businesses that supply the plant would also likely benefit from the expansion.

He says Lafayette has created an atmosphere where businesses feel they can be successful.
