Work Begins on $14 Million Health Center

Avon, Ind. -- Ground has been broken and site preparation is underway for construction of Wellbrooke of Avon, a 66,350 center for health and wellness at 10307 E. County Road 100 North in Avon, directly across from Indiana University Health Hospital, west campus. The $14.4M development is a joint project of LCS and Mainstreet and will bring up to 100 full-time jobs and up to 300 construction jobs to the area.

The 100-plus skilled jobs that will be created in this state-of-the-art center for health and wellness will be a welcomed addition to the area.¨

Wellbrooke of Avon is expected to open in July 2013. It rounds out a portfolio of three similar centers under construction in Crawfordsville, Wabash and Westfield, Indiana.

The family of Wellbrooke communities introduces an innovative approach to the design and delivery of health services for a new generation offering all-private service-rich residential apartments, and private suites for top-of-the-line rehabilitative or long-term care.

Beyond the unity of such in-demand health services at a single campus are the uncharacteristically high aesthetic and hospitality standards Wellbrooke has set to meet the preferences of a new generation of customers. Its freestanding centers are considered, above all, living spaces where people can receive quality health care while being in a place they can enjoy.

Mainstreet's Chairman and CEO Zeke Turner described guests experiencing concierge-based health services in a hotel-like atmosphere. "The design will feature multiple social destinations, including several different dining venues and private and public areas with fireplaces," Turner stated. "An emphasis on social features encourages interaction with family and friends, making Wellbrooke of Avon a destination for the entire community."

Mainstreet and LCS will work with other community resources to identify collaboration opportunities with the center and local partners.
