Governor Mitch Daniels is wrapping up his final weeks in office, and his schedule today includes what might be the last jobs announcement of his term. Daniels is set to detail big economic development plans that include companies adding more than 1,000 workers.

Governor's schedule for Tuesday, December 11
-Governor Mitch Daniels will join several company executives and local officials from throughout Indiana for economic development announcements regarding more than 1,000 new jobs for Hoosiers.
-Governor Daniels will honor Indiana's 196th birthday and speak at Statehood Day. He will also present awards to the winners of the statewide "What Indiana Means to Me" student essay contest.
-The governor will chair a joint meeting of the board of directors of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation and the Indiana Economic Development Foundation, Inc.
The board of directors of the Corporation will also hold an executive session at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Indiana State Museum at 650 W. Washington St. for consideration of confidential pending incentive requests made to the state of Indiana by industrial or commercial prospects (confidential proposals in progress) and discussion of records classified as confidential by state or federal statute IC. 5-14-1.5-6.1(b)(2),(4) and (7).
