Vogel believes the franchise has brought in some high character players to help rebuild a rapport with basketball fans.

This is his third year guiding the Pacers, but first full-season as head coach.

Vogel was moved into the job during the season a couple of years ago and last year did not include a complete 82 game schedule because of a labor dispute.

The Pacers play a key role in economic activity for downtown Indianapolis. They are the main tenant of Bankers Life Fieldhouse and help attract people to area businesses during the long winter months.
