WellPoint Unit Plans to Add Workers
A unit of WellPoint Inc. (NYSE: WLP) is planning to release more details today about plans to add more than 100 jobs in Indianapolis. National Government Services Inc. has secured a new contract with the federal Medicare program. Hiring for the new positions is expected to begin by the end of the year or in early 2013.

The company will serve as an administrator for some programs in Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
National Government Services lost a contract earlier this year and served notice about plans to lay off more than 100. You can read that notice by clicking here.
In April, the company announced it landed a $110 million contract to support a desktop application used by Medicare Contract Center customer service employees.
