Indiana to Release July Employment Report

The state's July unemployment rate will be announced this morning. The Indiana Department of Workforce Development says the rate in June stood at 8 percent. The national unemployment rate is 8.3 percent.

Some neighboring states have already released their July numbers.

In Michigan, the unemployment rate hit 9 percent, up 0.4 percent from June.

The jobless rate in Illinois reached 8.9 percent in July, compared to 8.7 percent the previous month.

The unemployment rate in Kentucky rose to 8.3 percent from 8.2 percent in June.

Ohio's July unemployment rate will be announced Friday.
