News Release
Indianapolis, Ind. -- Indianapolis’ Center for Pain Management, one of Central Indiana’s largest independent back and neck pain clinics, has completed a $1.2 million expansion project, doubling the size of its free-standing interventional pain treatment clinic on Indianapolis’ north side. The pain management practice also recently hired an additional 10 nurses, medical assistants and other support staff (bringing the total employee count to 50+) to meet the increased demand for diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic pain — including back pain, neck pain, fibromyalgia and continued pain after back and neck surgery — which affects more than 50 million adults annually.
The expansion has increased Indianapolis’ Center for Pain Management’s square footage to approximately 15,000 square feet and features an expanded outpatient pain surgery center, urgent pain care clinic, infusion suite, onsite MRI, increased treatment space and additional room for the clinic’s growing practice of pain management doctors, anesthesiologists, clinical psychologists, physical therapists and other pain management specialists. The clinic is located on the north side of Indianapolis at 8805 N. Meridian Street.
“Approximately half of all working Americans experience back or neck pain each year, making it one of the most common reasons for missing work,” said Dr. Edward Kowlowitz, M.D., the clinic’s founder and medical director, and a board-certified anesthesiologist with specialized qualifications in chronic and acute pain management and treatment. “Our goal at the Center is to help our patients lead a fulfilling and productive life, both personally and professionally. This newly renovated space allows us to offer an expanded range of treatment plans, thereby serving more Central Indiana adults afflicted with back and neck pain.”
The renovation and expansion project provides additional exam rooms, a larger and better-equipped surgery center, expanded patient waiting and check-out areas and modern and comfortable furniture and finishings.
