Lieutenant Governor Candidate Debate Announced

The three candidates to be the next lieutenant governor are set to debate rural issues. Inside INdiana Business Host Gerry Dick will moderate the discussion among Republican Sue Ellspermann, Democrat Vi Simpson and Libertarian Brad Klopfenstein later this month during the Indiana State Fair.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Agriculture will be at the forefront of a debate between lieutenant governor candidates Sue Ellspermann(R), Brad Klopfenstein (L) and Vi Simpson (D) at the Indiana State Fair on August 15. Voters will have a first-hand opportunity to understand the views of each candidate on agriculture and rural issues and the impact on Indiana’s economy.

The debate takes place at 3:00 p.m. in the Farm Bureau Building Banquet Hall on the North side of the Fairgrounds. Moderated by Gerry Dick of Inside INdiana Business,
The candidates for lieutenant governor will face a panel of agriculture journalists including Dave Blower,editor, Farm World ; Jerry Goshert,editor, The Farmer’s Exchange; Megan Grebner, Indiana farm director, Brownfield Network; and Gary Truitt, president, Hoosier Ag Today.
