A massive agri-tourism business in northwest Indiana is set for a groundbreaking ceremony today for a new attraction. Fair Oaks Farms' Pig Adventure is designed to show its more than 450,000 annual visitors how a pig production facility operates. Chief Executive Officer Gary Corbett discussed the operation on a recent edition of Inside INdiana Business.

Fair Oaks Farms, the nation’s premier agri-‐tourism destination, will hold a ground breaking ceremony for the highly-anticipated Fair Oaks Pig Adventure (FOPA)-‐Legacy Farms, on July 31, 2012.
Legacy Farms will hold the event on location with parking at the Fair Oaks Farms campus (just off of I-‐65, Exit 220).
Legacy Farms will welcome Indiana dignitaries, industry stakeholders, our community neighbors and government officials to the celebration at Fair Oaks Farms. The event, sponsored by Indiana Pork and FOPA-‐Legacy Farms will begin at 4 p.m.(CST) with cheese trays and drinks.
The official ceremony will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. and will be followed by food, drinks and conversation. The Fair Oaks Pig Adventure is a joint effort between Fair Oaks Farms, Legacy Farms and Indiana Pork.
The new tourable farm is designed to show first hand how a modern pig production facility operates and highlights the treatment and well-‐being of livestock at the farm. The public is invited to attend this monumental event in the history of Fair Oaks Farms, Legacy Farms and Indiana Pork.
