Amazon Planning Floyd County Job Fair
A job fair is slated for next week as Amazon.com Inc. (Nasdaq: AMZN) looks to fill hundreds of potential openings at its Jeffersonville distribution center, which is under construction. The event will be held in New Albany. Organizers expect the Clark County facility to be running in the fall.

NEW ALBANY, Ind. - WorkOne New Albany announced it will host a Job Fair for Amazon on Thursday, July 12, for several hundred full-time hourly positions. The new Amazon Fulfillment Center, which is currently under construction, is located at the River Ridge Commerce Center in Jeffersonville, Ind. and is anticipated to be open early this fall.
Available positions include hourly roles in Picking, Packing and Receiving/Shipping, with competitive starting wages that include company stock awards, plus medical, dental and vision benefits. Candidates should be highly motivated with drive, ambition, and a passion for providing customers a first-class shopping experience.
Candidates are encouraged to attend the event to apply for positions. Amazon staff will be on-site, as well as WorkOne staff to assist candidates to complete the application process.
The job fair will run from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 12 at Work One in New Albany.
