Some Indiana sports history will be auctioned off. Plans are underway to sell items from Evansville's Roberts Stadium to the highest bidders, before the shuttered venue is razed later this year. The auction is expected to begin in early August.
Our partners at Eyewitness News in Evansville report the city's building authority director says the basketball floor, seating and even the boilers will be up for bids.
Officials hope to raise between $150,000 and $200,000 to help offset the cost of tearing down Roberts Stadium.
A firm timeline has not been established, but officials are hoping the building will be down by the end of September.
