Student Housing Project Gains Key Approval

The Richmond Common Council could give final approval next week to a $10 million student housing complex near Indiana University East. The Richmond Advisory Plan Commission has unanimously approved rezoning for the planned 126-unit complex.

Kicks 96 in Richmond reports the project will involve three, three-story buildings with the capacity for more than 230 students.

Initial project estimates were around $8 million.

The complex is proposed for an area near an Ivy Tech Community College campus and a big box store.
