Indy Charter School Breaks Ground

Construction is underway on a new Indianapolis public charter school. Ohio-based Carpe Diem Learning Systems is building the $3 million Carpe Diem Schools - Meridian Campus, which organizers say will provide a "personalized learning approach."

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Carpe Diem Learning Systems broke ground Tuesday on its state-of-the art Carpe Diem Schools - Meridian Campus (2240 N. Meridian St.). The $3 million, 19,000-plus square foot facility opens this fall to serve students of all backgrounds and abilities through its tuition-free, personalized-learning model.

The award-winning Carpe Diem curriculum blends the use of technology with high levels of student support; the school has a consistent track record of highly successful student outcomes in other parts of the country.
