The Gary/Chicago International Airport Authority has agreed to fund a marketing plan for one of its routes. Our partners at The Times of Northwest Indiana report the authority has approved $30,000 to pay a consultant to help improve ticket sales for Allegiant Air's Gary-to-Orlando flights.
This money is in addition to the $75,000 the airport and the airline agreed to spend for a joint campaign in February.
Earlier this month, the authority also hired the former chief executive officer of the Indianapolis International Airport, John Clark, as a consultant.
