Las Vegas-based Allegiant Travel Co. (Nasdaq: ALGT) is adding service to southwest Florida from Fort Wayne International Airport and South Bend Airport. Non-stop flights will begin in June.

Fort Wayne, Ind. -- Officials at the Fort Wayne-Allen County Airport Authority are pleased to announce that Allegiant has added non-stop flights from FWA to Southwest Florida. The service to Punta Gorda Airport (PGD), located just 30 minutes from popular Fort Myers, will operate two flights per week beginning June 28, 2012. Allegiant will launch the new service with special introductory fares for those who book by April 30 - tickets are available now.
