Georgia-based Bon L Manufacturing Company is planning to close its Kentland plant in December. According to a WARN notice sent to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, the move will affect 146 workers.
Bon L says the layoffs will begin in April and take place in multiple phases. Some of the employees are represented by the United Steelworkers Union, District 7.
The company makes custom aluminum extrusions for the construction and industrial markets. In addition to Indiana, it has plants in Georgia and Tennessee.
