Indy Hopes Super Bowl Shuffles Up More Success

The hospitality industry in Indianapolis continues to push forward with efforts to leverage next year's Super Bowl into more business. Officials have created a song called Indy Super Bowl Shuffle and posted a video on YouTube. The take on the 1985 Chicago Bears infamous foray in to the rap music business highlights several downtown Indianapolis hotels. The Indianapolis Convention and Visitors Association says the video has been emailed to meeting planners in Chicago and will be featured prominently at a key industry trade show next week in the Windy City.

The ICVA says it took one week to write the song and produce the five minute video.

The organization says the effort will play a key role during Super Bowl week. It says 65 percent of those attending the big game and surrounding events are the individuals responsible for selecting cities for company conventions.

They are also likely to return to a city like Indianapolis with family and friends.

The ICVA is expecting 150,000 visitors for the Super Bowl, generating between $150 million and $400 million in economic impact.
