The first part of a study commissioned by the city of Evansville lists the area's economic advantages and disadvantages. Our partners at the Evansville Courier and Press report the study group will make specific recommendations later this summer.
The report ranked Evansville higher than other communities in areas such as location, interstate access, educational opportunities, housing costs and cultural resources. The study also shows areas where it says Evansville lags behind, such as high-speed Internet service, work force, office space, venture capital and overall appearance of the community.
The study was conducted by Garner Economics of Atlanta and Newmark Knight Frank of Chicago.
