Logansport Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce that Jim Schrader, MSM, has been named Vice President of Operations and Physician Practices. Schrader has been with Logansport Memorial Hospital since 2000 in the capacity of Vice President of Facility Services.

In his new role as VP of Operations and Physician Practices, he will be responsible for medical practice operations, the Community Pharmacy and the Hospital Pharmacy. Jim will continue to oversee facility operations. ”The opportunity to learn the field of medical practice management and concentrate on the growth of our local physician offices fits with my long term professional goals,” commented Jim.

“Jim’s knowledge of the hospital facility and experience in management is a great fit for us at this time,” said David Ameen, President and CEO. “Logansport Memorial Hospital operates fourteen physician offices and off-site clinics, employing twenty-eight physicians and fifteen nurse practitioners and other support specialties. We are looking forward to continued growth in our practices.”

Jim holds an MS in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion, Indiana and a BS in Management Magna Cum Laude from Indiana Wesleyan. Previously, he worked for Federal Mogul as a Senior Engineering Technician. He is an American Society Healthcare Engineers Certified Healthcare Facility Manager and a member of the American Society of Healthcare Engineering, Indiana Society of Healthcare Engineers and the American College of Healthcare Executives. Schrader currently serves on the Logansport Economic Development Foundation and LEDF Executive Committee.

Jim and his wife Molly reside in Logansport. They have three children.

Logansport Memorial Hospital is an 83-bed, HFAP accredited, regional medical center providing healthcare services to residents in Cass County and the surrounding areas of north central Indiana.
