School Choice Survey Results to be Released

Several education groups are planning a news conference this morning at the Statehouse to release findings from the largest statewide public opinion survey on school choice issues in Indiana. Results regarding charter schools, public school spending and expanding school options will be unveiled.

News Release

The Foundation for Educational Choice, along with its partners, Indiana Public Charter Schools Association and School Choice Indiana, will hold a press conference to release findings from the largest statewide public opinion survey of voters' views on school choice issues in Indiana. The survey reveals public opinion on charter schools and school vouchers, as well as voter awareness about Indiana's public school spending and expanding school options.

Braun Research Inc. conducted phone interviews with more than 3,400 Hoosier registered voters November 12-17, 2010.

The event will be Monday, January 10, 2011; 10:30 a.m at the Indiana Statehouse North Atrium.

Discussing the results of the survey will be Robert Enlow, President and CEO of the Foundation for Educational Choice, Russ Simnick, President of the Indiana Public Charter Schools Association and Karega Rausch, Director of Education Innovation
