News Release

WHAT: More than 200 volunteers from the Indianapolis Colts, Lucas Oil Products, National Starch LLC, Unique Home Solutions and the Paramount School of Excellence, organizers from KaBOOM! and residents of the community will join forces on Tuesday, Sept. 28 to build a new, safe playground at the school. The new playgroundís design is based on drawings created by children who participated in a Design Day event in July.

WHY: The new playground will provide nearly 600 children who attend Paramount with a great place to play. The first green school in the state of Indiana, Paramount opened this fall, but did not have a playground for children to enjoy. Now, with the help of the Colts and their partners, these students will have a playspace to call their own.

This project is a part of the Colts ongoing efforts to encourage young people to be active at least 60 minutes each day through the NFLís PLAY 60 Campaign. The playground will give children the opportunity to have access to something they personally helped create, and is another example of the Colts, Lucas Oil Products, National Starch and Unique Home Solutionsí ongoing investment in the Indianapolis community.

The playspace is the third built by KaBOOM! and Colts partners, and one of more than 180 builds KaBOOM! will lead across the country in 2010 in an effort to provide a great place to play within walking distance of every child in America.
