Indiana Leaders Up For Entrepreneur Award

Three Indiana business leaders are among the finalists for this year's midwest Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of The Year honor. John Qualls of BlueLock LLC, Defender Direct Inc.'s Dave Lindsey and Republic Airways Holdings Inc.'s (Nasdaq: RJET) Bryan Bedford are on the finalist list. Winners will be announced in June.

Chicago, IL, April 30, 2010 – Ernst & Young LLP is pleased to announce today the finalists for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® award in the Midwest. This group of exceptional entrepreneurs was selected by an independent judging panel made up of regional business, academic and community leaders. Winners will be announced at a gala event on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers Chicago. In addition to recognizing the 28 finalists, James Tyree, Chairman of Mesirow Financial will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement award, noting his outstanding work in building the company into a unique, independent and employee-owned firm.

“For the past 24 years, Ernst & Young has honored outstanding entrepreneurs through our Entrepreneur Of The Year program,” said Randy Tavierne, Ernst & Young Partner and Midwest Strategic Growth Markets Leader. “These entrepreneurs make a tremendous difference within our communities and for our larger economy. We thank them for the positive impact they’ve had in the Midwest.”
