Many Indiana health organizations are adjusting their business plans to deal with an increasing number of patients who seek initial treatment at off-site clinics. Indianapolis-based Community Hospital's Ambulatory Services Chief Executive Officer John Fohrer says walk-in clinic patients make up half the system's $2.5 billion in revenue. He says technology has made it possible for more people to be treated in outpatient facilities, instead of needing to visit a hospital for every health care concern.
