UnitedHealthcare and Memorial Hospital of South Bend have renewed their agreement. The new multi-year deal means UnitedHealthcare commercial and Medicare health plan participants will continue to have access to Memorial Hospital and more than 150 physicians through Memorial Medical Group. The agreement is effective January 1.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (Nov. 19, 2009) – UnitedHealthcare customers in North Central Indiana will continue to have access to local, quality health care options as a result of a new expanded agreement between UnitedHealthcare and Memorial Hospital of South Bend.
The new multi-year agreement, effective Jan. 1, 2010, will ensure continued in-network access for UnitedHealthcare commercial and Medicare health plan participants to Memorial Hospital of South Bend and more than 150 physicians through Memorial Medical Group. In addition, the agreement expands access to three ancillary service lines within Memorial Home Care – home health, durable medical equipment and home infusion services.
Memorial Hospital of South Bend is the region's only Level II Trauma center and the region's most comprehensive medical center that offers a 526-bed facility for cardiac, cancer, childbirth, emergency medicine and rehabilitation services. It has been the recipient of the National Consumer Choice Award for Northern Indiana, published by the National Research Corporation, for the past nine years.
