Indiana could be about to land another major emerging technology company. A key supplier of Think Global says the European electric car maker is planning to locate its U.S. manufacturing operations in the state. Ener1 Chief Executive Officer Charles Gassenheimer is quoted in a report by Reuters as saying Think has chosen an Indiana location, but the exact site will not be revealed for a few weeks. Ener1 is the parent of Indianapolis-based lithium-ion battery maker EnerDel and owns 31 percent of Think.

Reuters is reporting Gassenheimer says Think has applied for a U.S. government loan designed to help companies wanting to produce fuel efficient vehicles.
He adds Think is planning to relaunch its vehicle with the production of 5,000 units in Europe. Think says its City all-electric vehicle can travel up to 112 miles on a single charge.
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation tells Inside INdiana Business there is no completed deal at this point between Think and the state.
