Elkhart, Ind. -- The nation is watching Elkhart’s economy. How are we performing? The Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce will explore that question with Dorinda Heiden-Guss, President of the Economic Development Corporation of Elkhart County, Wednesday, November 18, 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. at Christiana Creek Country Club, 116 W Bristol Street in Elkhart.
Heiden-Guss will describe the impact of the economic downturn, and two Presidential visits, on local job creation efforts. She will share how local economic development activities have been affected by the national media spotlight and elusive promise of federal stimulus money.
Attendees will also learn about recent successes in attracting companies to locate or expand in Elkhart County.
This meeting is open to the public and includes lunch. Registration is $15 for Chamber members and $25 for non-members. Interested people should call the Chamber, 574-293-1531 or visit www.elkhart.org.
