The 180 workers were employees of Parsons Corp., which dismantled the facility that had been responsible for the destruction of VX chemical agent.
Officials said some workers moved to positions at other chemical agent disposal facilities.
The layoffs were part of the military's plan to shut down the facility now that the nerve agent has been destroyed.
