Gary Schools to Return Money for At-Risk Students

The Gary Community School Corp. has to return nearly $1 million in federal funds to the state. Our partners at The Times of Northwest Indiana report the corporation did not spend the money for at-risk students, so it has to be given back. The Title I funding is designed to help at-risk students, including those in high-poverty areas, reach federal and state standards in math and reading.
