The Wayne County Economic Development Corp. (EDC) is addressing a grease problem due to production at Really Cool Foods in Cambridge City. The EDC has hired Strand Associates to conduct a detailed engineering evaluation of existing wastewater generating processes. The firm will also examine two screening options for removing grease. The study is expected to cost around $35,000.

The Western Wayne Regional Sewer District has been trying to find a solution to the problem at the Really Cool Foods operation Cambridge City's Gateway Industrial Park.
Grease from the food processing company is clogging a sewer district's lift station.
A company official has stated Really Cool Foods wants to work to eliminate the problem, but that could mean a costly pretreatment facility.
