Dutchmen Manufacturing Inc. says it plans to hire up to 50 workers at its operations in Goshen. The manufacturing positions will be at the RV maker's Caragana Court plant. Dutchmen President Don Clark says the company is anticipating strong growth over the next year after spending several months repositioning its core brands.

The Dutchmen announcement is the latest in a series of positive developments for the state's beleagured RV industry:
-The consolidation of Fleetwood RV operations in Decatur is expected to lead to 900 jobs.
-Keystone RV Company in Goshen has announced expansion plans in Goshen with the anticipation of hiring 200 workers. The company's Executive Vice President Bob Martin has told Inside INdiana Business the industry may have turned a corner.
-Two former Keystone RV executives say they expect to create 200 jobs with the launch of Lifetime RV Co. in Wakarusa.
-Dometic LLC plans to expand its manufacturing operations at two northern Indiana plants, creating more than 350 jobs by 2012.
-The Fleetwood Enterprises Inc. manufactured housing plant in Garrett is being sold to the facility's general manager and two DeKalb County businessmen, who will maintain the current staffing levels of approximately 80 workers.
-Riverside Travel Trailers Inc. plans to create 85 jobs over the next two years in Miami County.

Don Clark, President of Dutchmen RV announced today that the company is accepting applications and plans to hire up to fifty employees to fill new manufacturing positions.
According to Don Clark, “Dutchmen RV has recently made internal structural changes to support additional growth within our company. During the last several months, we have been focused on the repositioning of our core brands. We are anticipating strong growth over the next year and we want to be able to support our dealer’s growing demand”. “We are thrilled with where we are headed as a company and are excited about the unveiling of our new products”, Clark added.
Dutchmen RV will introduce some of its redesigned products at the upcoming Pennsylvania RV Show in Hershey, PA September 14-20, 2009.
The majority of the new jobs will be located at Dutchmen RV’s Caragana Court facility in Goshen, IN.
