Press Release

INDIANA-Financing is still available to start or expand a business. The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Indiana District Office and 29 of its lending partners made guaranty loans in excess of $20 million dollars to Indiana small businesses during the month of December.

This is a 63% increase in money loaned compared to November lending.

SBA’s financial partners are making loans to small businesses in a wide range of industries. The largest loan was approved for $1,821,000 for a sheet metal manufacturing business. The smallest loan, of $5000, was for a mental health services business.

Indiana businesses throughout the state are benefiting from SBA and its guaranty loan programs.

“Creditworthy small businesses should contact the SBA for borrowing guidance,” stated Gail Gesell, SBA Indiana District Director. “We have resources that counsel and provide assistance with business plans and operational problems that can help businesses during our challenging economic times.”

SBA loan programs can be used to start or purchase a business, construct a building, buy equipment, meet short-term working capital needs and more.

For information about loan programs or other SBA sources of assistance, contact the Indiana District Office at (317) 226-7272 or visit the web site at www.sba.gov/in.
