Indianapolis, Ind. -- The newest president of Indiana’s largest university will address the Economic Club of Indiana luncheon on December 18.
Michael A. McRobbie, the 18th president of Indiana University, will provide insight on how the school fits into the state’s wider economic setting. His presentation is entitled “Excellence, Innovation, Economic Development – IU's Commitment to Indiana.”
During McRobbie’s first 10 years with Indiana University, he led an extensive transformation in information technology. Computerworld magazine named him to its 2004 list of “Premier 100 IT Leaders.” Prior to becoming president in July, McRobbie served as the university’s interim provost and vice president of academic affairs.
