 McRobbie says he pledges to work to maintain the school's reputation as an institution committed to excellence in education and research.

Michael McRobbie has been inaugurated as Indiana University's 18th president. IU Foundation President Curt Simic presided over the ceremony Thursday afternoon, which was attended by dozens of dignitaries, including Lieutenant Governor Becky Skillman and each of IU's five living former presidents.
