Evansville Business Incubator Lands New Tenant
Magellan Integration, Inc. says it has chosen Evansville's business incubator, Innovation Pointe, to locate its start-up business. Magellan is a management holding company that provides low voltage security and networking solutions.

(EVANSVILLE, IN)--Magellan Integration Inc., an Evansville based management and holding company that provides low voltage security and networking solutions through its expanding portfolio nationwide member companies, has chosen Innovation Pointe for the launch of its business.
“We are pleased and excited to have the commitment of a technology based company with national ambitions like Magellan to choose Innovation Pointe as the location to establish their business,” said Joe Wallace, President and CEO of GAGE. “We anticipate that businesses like Magellan, will continue to see greater Evansville and Innovation Pointe as a desirable location to establish their businesses,” continued Wallace. “After reviewing Magellan’s business plan, I am confident that both their business concept and management talent are comparable or superior to any of the Silicon Valley businesses that I have had the privilege of being involved with”, added Wallace.
Magellan was formed in July of 2007 and already has over 30 employees in three locations. Magellan has secured sizable business contracts in both Dallas and San Antonio. “As a graduate of the University of Evansville and a long time Evansville resident, I am very pleased to be able to take advantage of the technical infrastructure, flexibility, and entrepreneurial support that Innovation Pointe provides. After careful consideration of several cities for Magellan, we are pleased to be onboard with the vision of business success in downtown Evansville that Innovation Point and GAGE inspire,” said Rick Deer, CEO of Magellan.
Innovation Pointe is a component of the Entrepreneurial Division of GAGE. GAGE was formed by combining City and County economic development efforts with the Certified Technology Park, Small Business Incubator, and Downtown Evansville, Inc. It will serve as the focal point for economic development, assist existing businesses with expansion, and provide support for early stage entrepreneurs and start up companies.
