Holiday World & Splashin' Safari to Announce Expansion Plans

Holiday World & Splashin' Safari will Thursday break ground on its newest attraction. The amusement park, which will reveal its 2008 expansion plans at a press conference, says it plans to invest $6 million on expansion efforts at the park.

The theme park in Santa Claus in southern Indiana says it is winding up its 2007 season with seasonal attendance topping one million guests.

Holiday World's roller coaster the Voyage was recently ranked as the number one "Wooden Coaster on the Planet" according to Amusement Today magazine. Earlier this month, the amusement park received four Golden Ticket Awards, which are considered the Academy Awards for the amusement park industry.
