Flodraulic Group to Move HQ to Hancock County

Flodraulic Group, Inc. says it will move its headquarters from Indianapolis to its operations in Mount Comfort. The company, which is a national distributor of hydraulic, pneumatic and lubrication components, says it will invest $2.6 million and create eleven new jobs.

INDIANAPOLIS (Sept. 19, 2007) – Flodraulic Group, a national distributor of hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication components, announced today it will relocate its facility here to nearby Mount Comfort, creating 11 new jobs.

The company will invest more than $2.6 million to build and equip its expanded manufacturing and distribution center and will begin hiring additional sales and production staff in 2008.

“Flodraulic Group’s expansion is yet another example of Central Indiana’s significant contribution to our continued economic comeback,” said Nathan Feltman, Secretary of Commerce and chief executive officer of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation. “As we're seeing happen time and time again, companies are choosing to grow in Indiana thanks to our low-cost of doing business, quality workforce and unmatched infrastructure.”

Currently headquartered in Indianapolis, the company specializes in hydraulic, pneumatic and lubrication systems from more than 20 companies to design and fabricate complete systems, power units and valve stands. Flodraulic operates facilities in Arizona, California, Georgia, Michigan, Missouri and Ohio.

“Indiana has continued to show growth with new manufacturing providing Flodraulic Group an ever-growing customer base. Our commitment to Indiana and the Midwest is strong,” said Barry Stacy, chief operating officer of Flodraulic Group. “Our focus is on expanding our base of business here with the new corporate location in Hancock County . We have enjoyed annual growth since the inception of Flodraulic Group in 2003 and plan to continue this trend.”

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered Flodraulic up to $138,000 in performance-based tax credits based upon the company’s job creation plans. Hancock County offered the company property tax abatement.
