Our partners at The Times of Northwest Indiana are reporting that the Northwest Indiana Regional Development Authority (RDA) has approved a $6.5 million plan to improve bus transportation in the region. The two-year plan includes creating an express service route to and from downtown Chicago from south Lake County and Porter County, increasing the number of bus trips in East Chicago, Gary and Hammond and installing a central dispatch system.
