The Lafayette Journal and Courier is reporting that Subaru of Indiana Automotive is seeking an increase in the abatements it received in order for its Lafayette facility to begin manufacturing Toyota Camrys next year.
SIA last July received separate 10-year abatement on $205 million in new equipment and $7 million in real estate.
City of Lafayette officials say the amount of investment has risen from $212 million to $230 million.
SIA officials say the updated amount reflects new cost projections, not the purchase of additional equipment to be installed.
The Lafayette Redevelopment Commission will discuss the requested change at its meeting Thursday.
