The company acquired the property from the University of Southern Indiana Foundation. The development, called Church Street Commons, has been designed in a Neo-Harmonist style to compliment the town's architectural origins.

NEW HARMONY, IN – On Thursday, November 2, at 4 p.m., the builders, architect and other notable guests will break ground for the planned Church Street Commons, a neo-traditional housing development in New Harmony, Ind. The building site is located on the former Mansion House historical property at 707 Church Street.
Church Street Commons is being developed by New Harmony Vision, LLC, a four- member development group comprised of Kent Parker, Nathan Maudlin, and Andrew Wilson of New Harmony, and Kennedy Hutson of Monticello, Illinois. The mission of New Harmony Vision, LLC is to contribute to the sustainability, historic preservation and economic development of New Harmony by developing and redeveloping new and historic projects in a unique and high quality manner. New Harmony Vision, LLC, acquired the Church Street property from the University of Southern Indiana Foundation, when it recently divested some of the University’s real estate holdings in the town’s historic district.
Church Street Commons has been designed in a Neo-Harmonist style to complement and revere the architectural origins of the town. Envisioned as a collection of simple Harmonist forms, the homes incorporate modern conveniences with forward-thinking construction and energy-saving methodologies. Individual plans vary and each house is capable of being constructed with various spatial options, ranging from two-bedroom, two-bath homes of approximately 1,500 square feet to three-bedroom, three-bath homes of approximately 1,900 square feet. Additionally, individual house designs can incorporate additional spaces well suited to work or studio space either with or without public access.
Along with the developers, others expected to be on hand for the groundbreaking event are Mark Rozewski, vice president for Business Affairs and Treasurer of the University of Southern Indiana (USI); Ed Jones, associate vice president for Academic Affairs and the dean of Extended Services at USI; Connie Weinzapfel, director of Historic New Harmony; Hutson, project architect and designer; Bruce Martin, project general contractor and owner of Martin Homes, Inc; Ralph Glaser, project superintendent; Tom Austerman, chief executive officer of Evansville Commerce Bank; and New Harmony Town Council officials.
