Strand Diagnostics President Ken Cerney tells a terrifying—and yet true—account of medical mistaken identity: a woman underwent a radical mastectomy after her breast biopsy revealed cancer—only to discover post-surgery that her biopsy was mixed up with another patient's, and she, in fact, did not have the disease.
