    Hoosier Energy Hires Vice President

    Hoosier Energy has hired Scott Bowers as Vice President, Public Policy and Member Services. Bowers has served as Vice President of Governmental Relations for Indiana Electric Cooperatives since 2011. He will oversee all legislative and economic development initiatives along with Hoosier Energy's marketing and corporate communications departments. Bowers holds a degree from Indiana University. 

  • Kinetrex Announces New Hires

    Kintrex Energy has added Todd Johnson as risk manager and Danny Seibert as plant manager. Johnson recently served in portfolio management and energy trading for Koch Supply and Trading in Switzerland and London. Seibert most recently served at Farnsworth Group and Hunt, Guillot & Associates as a project manager.
  • Kinetrex Adds Manager

    Kinetrex Energy has named Albert Bartee business development manager. He most recently served at The Schneider Corporation as a business development manager. Bartee has his MBA from Indiana Wesleyan and bachelor’s degree from University of Indianapolis.

  • IPL Names CEO

    Indianapolis Power & Light Co. has announced Vincent Parisi will become the utility’s next president and chief executive officer. Parisi, who currently serves as vice president of Columbia Gas of Ohio Inc., will begin his new role in June. Virginia-based AES Corp. (NYSE: AES), the parent of IPL, appointed Parisi its president of U.S. Utilities, which includes leading IPL as well as The Dayton Power and Light Co. in Ohio.

    Kinetrex Energy has named Rob Scheuermann chief financial officer. He most recently served as president and chief financial officer of SoCore Energy, a leading national solar and energy storage provider for retailers, cooperatives, utilities and industrial companies. Scheuermann is a CPA and a graduate of Indiana University.
  • Indiana Michigan Power Promotes Isaacson

    Fort Wayne-based Indiana Michigan Power has promoted Dave Isaacson to vice president for distribution. He previously served as interim vice president. Isaacson has been with the company for 27 years.  As vice president, Isaacson will oversee I&M’s 475-employee distribution organization.

    Gasstrom Named CEO of Indiana Electric Cooperatives

    Indiana Electric Cooperatives has named John Gasstrom chief executive officer. He previously served as director of compliance at Georgia System Operations Corp. Gasstrom has more than 25 years of energy industry experience. He joined GSOC in 2002, where he was responsible for the activities of the compliance department, including bulk electric system reliability and critical infrastructure protection compliance and corporate ethics.

    Kinetrex Energy Promotes Holsapple to General Counsel

    Kinetrex Energy has promoted Casey Holsapple to general counsel and vice president of governmental affairs. He has worked in the energy industry for more than a decade. Holsapple previously worked for Duke Energy Corp. as an associate general counsel.

    Hoosier Energy Announces New CFO

    Bloomington-based Hoosier Energy has promoted Adam Roberts to chief financial officer. He fills the position left by Donna Walker, who was promoted to president and chief executive officer in November. Roberts joined Hoosier Energy in November 2012 as a senior financial analyst. He was promoted to manager of financial services in May 2015.

  • NiSource Makes Two Appointments

    NiSource has appointed Randy Hulen treasurer. He will continue to serve as vice president of investor relations. Hulen joined NiSource in 1994. Also, Shawn Anderson has been appointed strategy and chief risk officer. He will continue to serve as vice president. Anderson has been with NiSource since 2010 and was appointed treasurer and chief risk officer in 2016.

    NIPSCO Names VP of Communications

    Northern Indiana Public Service Co. LLC, a NiSource Inc. company, has appointed Jennifer Montague vice president of communications and external affairs. She most recently served as director of business strategy and technology for Commonwealth Edison. Montague also served as director of revenue management and director of marketing during her eight years working with the Chicago-based Exelon electric distribution subsidiary.

    Indiana Municipal Power Adds Marketing Specialist

    Indiana Municipal Power Agency has named Madi Williams marketing specialist. She previously served as a content strategist for FinishMaster Inc.  In the newly-created role, Williams will work to create and implement marketing communications efforts to build awareness of IMPA and its 61 member communities through digital and traditional communication mediums.

    Duke Energy Appoints New Leadership

    Duke Energy has promoted Stan Pinegar to president in Indiana. He most recently served as vice president of Indiana government affairs. Pinegar succeeds Melody Birmingham-Byrd, who has been appointed senior vice president and chief procurement officer. She has 24 years of leadership and managerial experience in the electric and automotive manufacturing industries.

  • Former Indiana Chamber VP to Lead Indiana AEE

    Indiana Advanced Energy Economy has named Caryl Auslander its new leader. She will be program director for the nationwide business group's efforts in the state, after most recently serving as the Indiana Chamber of Commerce vice president of education, workforce development and federal affairs. 

  • American Resources Corp. Appoints COO

    Fishers-based American Resources Corp. has promoted Tarlis Thompson to chief operating officer. He has spent more than 16 years in the coal industry managing quality control, logistics, coal production and environmental compliance for several operators within the Central Appalachian Basin. Thompson most recently has served as superintendent of surface & processing facilities.

    Duke Energy Names Powers GM

    Duke Energy has selected Brian Powers as general manager for its Gibson Generating Station in Owensville. He fills the role vacated by Mike Mosley, who has been promoted to vice president for Midwest generation.  Powers has been with the company since 1995. He previously served as GM for Duke’s Crystal River North generating station in Citrus County, Florida.

    Kinetrex Energy Adds Vice President

    Kinetrex Energy has named Casey Holsapple vice president of RNG development and governmental affairs. He will lead the company’s development of renewable natural gas projects and manage the company's federal and state government relations strategy. Holsapple has worked in the energy industry for 11 years. He previously worked for Duke Energy Corp. as an associate general counsel.

    Hoosier Energy Names Next CEO

    Bloomington-based Hoosier Energy Rural Electric Cooperative Inc. has promoted Donna Walker to president and chief executive officer. Walker, who currently serves as chief financial officer, will begin her new role November 13. Walker has been with Hoosier Energy since 1995. She will succeed Steve Smith, who is retiring from the organization after 25 years.

    Indiana Michigan Power Names Manager

    Rob Keisling has joined Indiana Michigan Power as community affairs manager for the Muncie District. He will serve as I&M’s primary community and economic development contact within its service territory in Delaware, Grant, Randolph, Blackford, Jay and Madison counties. For the past eight years, Keisling has served as director of operations for Minnetrista in Muncie.

    Kinetrex Energy has named Tina Turro director of human resources. She has more than 12 years of experience in human resources management. Turro previously worked for Kaman Industrial Technologies, Engledow Group and EHOB, Inc. leading their HR divisions.

    Duke Energy has promoted Melvin Morris to large-business account executive for central Indiana. Before he joined the large account management team, he served as a distribution engineer at the regional headquarters in Plainfield. Morris has served in a number of leadership roles, including his overseeing the storm damage assessment team.

    Indiana Electric Cooperatives has named Corey Willis vice president of information services. He is an 18-year electric utility industry veteran and previously served as manager of business operations for Tipmont REMC.

    Duke Energy Appoints Manager

    Duke Energy has named Jean Renk government and community relations manager for four counties in the company’s central Indiana service territory, including Hendricks, Johnson, Hancock and Shelby counties. She previously served as business development associate with Schmidt Associates. 

  • Indiana Michigan Power Adds to Team

    Indiana Michigan Power has named Schnee Garrett-Garcia (pictured) senior communications consultant. She will play a key role in disseminating information to South Bend/Elkhart and Michigan area media and the public. Maggie Beggs (pictured) has been named community affairs manager for the South Bend/Elkhart and Michigan areas. Also, Tirthak Saha, was named to Forbes Magazine’s "30 Under 30 – Energy" for 2018.

  • Go Electric Hires Energy Industry Vet as VP

    Anderson-based Go Electric Inc., an emerging leader of energy resiliency and microgrid solutions, has named Coryn DeGrands vice president of sales and marketing. She is a former sales and operations executive for energy management solutions manufacturers including Emerson Electric, Siemens Industry and Johnson Controls.

  • Kinetrex Energy Adds to Team

    Kinetrex Energy has named Mark Gallo (pictured) director of sales and marketing. Also, Kristin Maguire (pictured) has been appointed senior customer solutions manager and will focus on marketing pipeline gas, LNG and RNG to the transportation sector. Anjuli Skirvin has been named customer solutions manager.

  • South Central Indiana REMC Names CEO

    The transition of leadership for South Central Indiana REMC is underway. The nonprofit electric cooperative has named James Tanneberger (pictured) president and chief executive officer, succeeding Greg McKelfresh, who is retiring in January. SCI REMC says Tanneberger will work with McKelfresh to ensure a smooth transition. Tanneberger previously served as division manager for transmission, substation and engineering at Bryan Texas Utilities in College Station, Texas.

  • Vince Griffin to Lead Indiana Advanced Energy Economy

    Former Indiana Chamber of Commerce Vice President of Energy and Environmental Policy Vince Griffin has been named executive director for Indiana Advanced Energy Economy. Its parent Advanced Energy Economy, which expanded its presence in Indiana last year, advocates for policies to support energy-related businesses. Griffin retired last year from the chamber after 19 years. He previously served as director of the state's Energy Policy Office.

  • Indiana Electric Cooperatives Hires Two

    Indiana Electric Cooperatives has named Deb Hunter and Ann Mears to its cooperative relations staff. Hunter previously served as a human resources consultant at FirstPerson. Mears previously served as regional outreach director for Indiana INTERNNet.

  • Vectren Makes Adjustments to Leadership Roles

    Evansville-based Vectren Corp. is making several changes to its upper-management structure. The utility says the moves are part of ongoing succession plans and continued development of its leadership team. The realignment involves senior vice president and vice president positions. Chief Executive Officer Carl Chapman says the changes include "vice presidential rotation opportunities that broaden these individuals' business acumen and operations experience.

  • MISO Names Chief Information Security Officer

    Carmel-based MISO has appointed Keri Glitch vice president and chief information security officer. She is a veteran information technology leader and will be responsible for the company's comprehensive information security strategy, execution and operations. Glitch most recently served in a similar role for AVANGRID where she was responsible for physical and cyber security, threat and incident management, and security compliance for all operations.

  • Inovateus Solar Names Chief Revenue Officer

    South Bend-based Inovateus Solar LLC has named Mike Pound chief revenue officer. He previously served as vice president of operations at Manufacturing Technology Inc. and vice president of engineering at General Sheet Metal. Before a stint as CEO of BladeRoom, a modular datacenter company, Pound worked in various executive roles, including CEO, at Koontz-Wagner Holdings, a diversified electrical engineering group.

  • American Resources Corp. Appoints VP

    American Resources Corp. has named Mark LaVerghetta vice president of corporate finance & communications. He previously spent 20 years performing various distribution roles with several Wall Street firms including Legg Mason, Alex. Brown & Sons, Deutsche Bank Securities, Ferris Baker Watts and Avondale Partners.

  • Hoosier Energy Adds to Team

    Hoosier Energy has named Christy Langley economic development coordinator. She joins the generation and transmission electric power cooperative’s economic development team. Langley will assist Hoosier Energy’s 18 distribution cooperatives in central and southern Indiana and southeastern Illinois with business retention, expansion and attraction projects.

  • Telamon Energy Solutions Names Sales Manager

    Carmel-based Telamon Energy Solutions has named Denesa Webber sales manager. She will be part of the Enterprise Ventures’ Energy Solutions division. The division specializes in lighting retrofits, solar development and chiller optimization. In her new role, Webber will be responsible for targeting the private sector to complement TEV’s public sector and K-12 activities within Indiana and the greater Midwest.

    Indianapolis-based Kinetrex Energy has named Aaron Johnson president and chief executive officer. He previously worked at Citizens Energy Group for more than 20 years, starting on a utility street crew, thereafter working in customer service, accounting, treasury and legal, finishing his tenure as vice president of strategy and corporate development.

  • Calumet Names CFO & CAO

    Calumet Specialty Products Partners L.P. has named West Griffin executive vice president & chief financial officer. He was one of the three founders of Energy XXI and also served as CFO. Prior to joining Energy XXI, Griffin served in a similar role at Alon USA and at InterGen North America. The company also announced Patrick Murray, former CFO, will serve as VP & chief accounting officer.

  • Indiana Michigan Power Names President & COO

    Fort Wayne-based Indiana Michigan Power has named Toby Thomas president and chief operating officer. He will begin his new role January 1. Thomas succeeds Paul Chodak, who is leaving to become executive vice president of utilities with parent company American Electric Power Co. Inc. at its headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. Thomas currently serves as vice president of competitive generation in Ohio and previously served in other various roles within the company.
  • NIPSCO Names Public Affairs Manager

    Northern Indiana Public Service Co. has named Karen McCoy south region public affairs manager. She previously served as alliance and chamber operations manager for the Greater Kokomo Economic Development Alliance. McCoy has more than 20 years of experience in business, management and public and community relations. She serves on a number of boards in Howard County, including the Crossing Educational Center and Advantage Housing.

  • Indiana Electric Cooperatives Names Manager

    Indiana Electric Cooperatives has named Bennett Fuson the association's political action and compliance manager. He will be part of its government relations staff. Before joining IEC, Fuson worked at the Hoosier State Press Association, IGT Indiana and Barnes & Thornburg.

Mel Denton was named assistant combustion turbine manager.

  • Vectren Adds to Investor Relations Team

    Vectren Corp. has added Dave Parker to its investor relations team. He previously served as a senior utility equity research analyst at Robert W. Baird & Co. Inc. for more than 20 years. Prior to that, Parker also had 12 years of utility sector experience in various roles at CMS Energy. He graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting.

    Indiana Electric Cooperatives has named Will Davis to its regulatory compliance staff. He served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years and was a private consultant in the oil, gas and petrochemical industry.

    Indiana Municipal Power Agency has promoted Peter Prettyman and Mel Denton. Pettyman was appointed senior vice president and general counsel. Denton was named assistant combustion turbine manager.

    Duke Energy has named Dan Rhodes as government and community relations manager for the greater Lafayette area. He previously served as a national account manager for Liberty Mutual Insurance.

  • Duke Energy Announces Account Executive

    Jason Cunningham has joined Duke Energy as large business account executive for its southern Indiana territory. He previously worked for Rolls-Royce North America and Force Construction Co. 

  • Wabash Valley Power Adds to Team

    Wabash Valley Power has named Brook Steed senior regional economic development representative for the northeast Indiana region. He most recently served as director of the northeast region for the Indiana Economic Development Corp.

  • IPL Names Sanchez President and CEO

    Indianapolis Power & Light Co. has named Rafael Sanchez president and chief executive officer. He joined IPL in February as senior vice president of strategic planning.

  • AES United States Names Communications Leader

    The AES Corp. has named Brandi Davis-Handy communications leader, AES United States. She previously served as director of external communications for Indianapolis Power & Light Co. AES has 10 businesses in the U.S., including IPL and DPL Inc. Davis-Handy previously worked for the American Cancer Society and led communications efforts for the 500 Festival.

  • Duke Energy Appoints Director

    Duke Energy has promoted Kristie McKillip to director of large account management in Indiana. She has served as manager for business recruitment since 2011. McKillip will oversee a staff of nine account managers who serve as liaisons between the company and some of its largest commercial and industrial accounts.

  • Duke Energy Names Economic Development Director

    North Carolina-based Duke Energy has named Erin Schneider director of economic development for its Indiana service territory. She most recently served as director of business development and outside sales for the Indiana Economic Development Corp.

  • IPL Hires Sanchez as VP of Strategic Planning

    Indianapolis Power & Light Co. has hired Rafael Sanchez as senior vice president of strategic planning. He is currently the secretary for the Indy Chamber and previously served as vice president of business development and legal affairs for Indianapolis-based Fineline Printing Group. 

  • IMEA Elects 75th President

    Richard Justice has been elected as the 75th president for Indiana Municipal Electric Association (IMEA). He has been an active member of IMEA for 20 years. This is his second time serving as president.

  • IEC Names Havens to Staff

    Indiana Electric Cooperatives (IEC) named Thomas Havens to its government relations staff. Havens was governmental affairs director for the Indiana Builders Association. He will serve as the association’s legislative counsel and advocacy manager.

  • Purdue Research Park Company Adds Marketing Manager

    Shellie Dell has joined Purdue Research Park of Northwest-based Legacy Environmental Services Inc. as manager of marketing and business development. She previously served as manager of marketing and donor relations at Lake Area United Way.

    Hendricks Power Cooperative has appointed Greg Ternet chief executive officer. He currently serves as CEO of Parke County REMC.

    Indianapolis-based RCA Commercial Electronics has named Jeff Sutton national sales manager for RCA Lighting. He previously served in multiple sales positions with GE Lighting.

    Tom VanParis has been named chief executive officer of Indiana Electric Cooperatives.
