[UPDATED] Purdue to Cut $30 Million

Purdue University says it is facing a shortfall of $70 million over the next three years if state appropriations and general education fees do not increase. As part of a proactive approach to deal with that projection, President France Córdova has announced the institution wants to cut $30 million before the state's next two year budget cycle begins. Purdue University Treasurer Al Diaz says Purdue has already made across-the-board reductions, cut positions, curtailed hiring and withheld pay increases. But those are short-term solutions.
